Thomas–Kilmann Conflict Mode

Thomas–Kilmann · Model

Two strong contributors are in conflict: you need to decide when to assert, accommodate, or collaborate.

Why use it

Deliberately choose an appropriate conflict-handling style.

General workflow

  1. Describe the current situation and the outcome you need.
  2. Apply Thomas–Kilmann Conflict Mode to the real data, participants, and constraints of the situation.
  3. Record the conclusion, next action, owner where relevant, and a criterion for checking the result.

This is a brief reference card. The general steps help organize the work but do not replace a detailed guide to the method.

Output

A deliberate conflict strategy for the situation.
